Bent Creek Band - Treading High Water (1984)

Thanks go out to Luc for this rip, he's been waiting for it. Bent Creek Band released this album in 1984 and it was recorded in North Carolina. On the internet I could not find anything about this Bent Creek Band, other than some sites having it for sale. The music is Southern Country Rock, well played and pleasing to the ear. Pickers on the album are: Morris Flynn - drums & percussion; Gary Hensley - bass & vocals; Scott Taylor - keyboards, harmonica & vocals and Edward Terry - guitars & vocals. Unfortunately the vinyl wasn't pristine, sometimes there's a little too much crackle and some skipping occurs. Besides that it sounds fine and it's sure to please any Southern Country Rock fan. Ramblin Country Fever.

Many thanks for this to you and Luc. Great guitars and compositions. My favourites are "Sometimes" and "Bring Her It".

Sorry Harley, i'm afraid i don't have any Sean Harris material outside of his diamond head work.
Did Robin George participate in that Notorius project you mentioned?

First of all, congratulations on a great site - you've filled in lots of gaps - eg the Larry Jon catalogue and introduced me to some great new music. One request - do you have the Sandra Rhodes LP, Where's Your Love Been? Can't find it anywhere, but I'd love to hear it after enjoying her tracks on the Country Got Soul compilations. I also sense that's there's an interesting back story there too with her family's Memphis TV show and her marriage to Charlie Chalmers. Sandra's sister Donna also recorded a great version of Where's Your Love Been that appeared on a Hi compilation. I see they're both now appearing at the White River Hoedown in Arkansas...

To jdsffa: I had some contact with Robert Johnson and he said he'd get back to me. I guess something came up. I have just emailed him again. If there's any news, I'll let you know.

To Andy in London: Sorry Andy, I got as far as you did. I'll keep a lookout, though..
