Potliquor - Levee Blues (1971)
♫
Strange, how I never got around to posting anything by Potliquor. But I was reminded the other day and I'm glad. Formed in Baton Rouge in 1969, Potliquor released four albums in the 70's. And they're all good. This album is their second, and it's superb. Classic Southern Rock alright, with some tasteful boogie piano and excellent vocals. Really nice original songs and a couple of covers done originally (Lady Madonna!). Stand out track for me is a ballad. Listen to 'Beyond The River Jordan', and tell me I ain't right. I am of course ;-). Cheer!

Yes you are. Always liked 'First Taste' the best only because of the crappy fidelity of the boots I have of the rest of their catalogue, so this makes up for problem...thanks
Have sen this quite a bit through out the years but never heard it. Thanks for the post.
Potliquor is the one of the best US rock group for me. I have all of four albums on vinyl. (And I am very glad that I have them).
First three albums is a beautiful. They consist more southern, rock-n-roll, country and basic on hard rock music.
But The last album not as good.
Saw them warming up for Bloodrock and Cactus in Savannah. Helluva show!
I can't seem to download it. It's saying the file is not found :(
New link up. Enjoy!
Muito obrigado !!!
