Moonshine - Demos (2010)
♫

Not a full album, instead this is a three track demo from 2010. Courtesy of E. Anonymous (thanks!). It features one new track and cover versions of "Stand Back" (Allman Bros) and "Cheap Sunglasses" (ZZ Top) Moonshine reformed? Anyway, this is a nice Southern Funky Blues Rock track. What are they spendin' time on?

Moonshine - 1994 (1994)
♫

This 1994 Moonshine release predates their debut album "Roughhousin'". It's a four song EP. And, when listening to these tracks, it's fairly obvious that this is actually a demo. It's a band in their formative stage, trying their hand at fresh material. Quite interesting, as demos often are. Two tracks of these recordings would resurface in re-recorded versions on their 1997 album (and sounding better there). Moonshine is a little bit of everything. It rocks mostly, but has some Funk and Country as well. These tracks would fit nicely as bonus tracks on their first proper release. Beer?

Moonshine - Roughhousin' (1997)
♫

Not much I can say about this band, other than that they released one independent album back in 1997. The style is pretty much in between Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band, though sometimes leaning more towards country. 6 of the 11 songs are originals and they are pretty good. 5 songs are covers and thank God they stray away from the downtrodden path of southern rock. Great version of In The Morning (Mama's Pride) and Fancy Ideas (Rossington Collins Band). Listen!
