Allgood - Kickin & Screamin (1994)

"Kickin & Screamin" is Allgood kickin' and screamin' alright. An infectious live show that shows very well just how good these cats were. Excellent Southern Rock and with deserved capitals too. There are just 5 songs here, it still has you toe-tappin' for 40 minutes. My favorite song on here would be the 16 minute long "Trilogy", with some fiery fiddle thrown in for good measure. Really, the whole album just makes you wanna go out, grab a case of beer and.. Oh well, you know what I mean. A great time to be had by all. Solid vocals and a band that sure knows how to get the crowd moving. Funky house.

Allgood - IV (1995)

"IV" was the last recorded studio output by Athens, Georgia band Allgood. However, it never had an actual commercial release. Still, if you dug any previous Allgood recordings, this will surely not disappoint. No sirree! It's all slightly heavier and at times a little darker than their earlier albums. But great Southern Rock to my ears. Allgood remind me at times of Jupiter Coyote. Not too much emphasis on traditional Southern Rock trademarks like twin leads and dualing guitar solos, instead going for more compact Southern Rock songs. And really, you can hardly go wrong with any Allgood music. Face it...

Allgood - Reel To Real (1990)

Allgood was originally called the Allgood Music Company. The band was based out of Athens, GA. Through constant touring, the band grew a following in the southeastern United States. Constantly changing set lists and additions of new songs appealed to the masses. The band created a demo tape of original songs entitled "Reel to Real". Taking only one day to record all 8 songs, the band used this for promotion to get gigs at bars and colleges. Next up was a 45 rpm called "Meat Salad". "Meat Salad" was sent to the college radio stations looking for more exposure.
This is "Reel To Real" including the tracks that made up the "Meat Salad" 45. It sounds like what it is, a collection of songs, demoed by a bunch of enthusiasts. The band gets funky occasionally and the songs are worth hearing again. This was a great band back then. Too bad they split. But at least they left us some fine music. It's Allgood..
